The Polo Neck Early Show !

For some time now there's been a running gag on the Early Regional Show about the fact that I wear roll neck or polo shirts as some people call them. Derided by Josephine from Monterey she's admitted defeat and bought some for husband Mad Mick. Hurrah for the boys and common sense. When the weather gets as cold as today you've gotta keep your neck warm!

The Radio Car

As I've now had a number of curious enquiries (particularly from our on-line overseas listeners) about the Radio Car that I do live reports with into Breakfast With Bumfrey following my own Show in the mornings, here's a peek at what it's like.

The Great A47 Road Run Bank Holiday Monday

Thanks for all your calls whilst we made our way across county from Wisbech to Great Yarmouth. Here's just a few of the pics that driver Ian Forster took at each stop. Some of the great places and interesting people that we encountered on a trip played off-the-cuff !!

Dance for May Day

Friday 1st of May and the Morris Dancers are performing in front of the West Door of Norwich Cathedral. Look carefully, it was a rude awakening for the bag lady asleep under the pile of blankets right in front of the door!

BLOGGING NORFOLK

As an example of Blogging Norfolk I followed the Breakfast team today as we preapred to broadcast part of the Show from the new facility at the Forum. With just a hand-held ordinary video camera I shot this footage and edited this piece in two hours start to finish. To see more video's on this site go to the right-hand column and scroll down to Content and click on "Video Library". They'll all load up on this left-hand side. Scroll down to see what you can see !! To send an e-mail click the link at the top of this side. Happy Blogging !

Fuel Protest Convoy

Wednesday morning and I'm stationed on the dumbell over the A47 Southern Bypass broadcasting into Breakfast with Bumfrey but with a rolling camera too. Here's the contingent that left from the business park at 8am just as the other 'half' left Easton heading our way.

Radio Car broadcast from Amazona.

Here's a peek at the latest major attraction for Cromer.
I took the Radio Car there on Friday for a preview.
It's been developed by Ken Sims, the owner of Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens. Many of the birds, fish, mammals and reptiles in the zoo's care originate in the rain forest, a habitat increasingly under threat. Most have been transferred from other zoo's except the caymans who were intercepted at Heathrow where they were on their way to become handbags!
Admission is £8.50 adults and £6.50 age 4 - 14. Senior Citizens get in for £7.50. See what you think.

Look East weather tits !

If you saw the forecast last week you'll have seen the video I took at the Cottage pub in Thorpe. I was sent to feature the blue tits nesting in the wall ashtray for BBC Radio Norfolk but always carry the video camera. Some of this footage was used by Phil Garner as he presented the weather forecast for Look East.

That Blue Peter Moment

A few years back now, when we were still based in Norfolk Tower, Simon Thomas from Blue Peter accepted the invitation to co-host Graham Barnards Breakfast Show. This also included going out with Wally in the radio car. This is what happened. (click the screen then click on play)
