Monday you will have heard me at the Taverham Vets on Fir Covert Road who're introducing an out of hours service from next week. Director Guy Pitcher gave me a tour after the broadcast and a DvD to watch. It's about their keyhole surgery equipment being used to neuter a cat. They've given it the enthralling title "Bitch Spey". It's a winner!
Tuesday. As 800 stores around the country put over 26,000 out of work, I was at Woolies in Sheringham for their last day of trading. Everything has to go and that includes all the shelves, fixtures and fittings. Heartbreaking for the staff and a hole left in the trading heart of most towns.
Wednesday - and a surprise for Watton! Voted by travel advice website Tripadvisor.com as one of the most striking time spots to be in Europe. Big Ben was tops with Watton at No.8 in the top ten along with places like Prague, Bern and Venice!
Thursday - New Years Day and the honours list included Norris "Win" Winstone pictured here with his accordian. A founder of Kemps Men Morris Dancers he was honoured for over fifty years service to English Folk Dance. (He hasn't fallen asleep - the camera caught him with his eyes shut although at the age of nearly 96 you 
couldn't blame him!)

Pictured are Fran Ellington and Danny Wilson, two of the local community of Grapes Hill who got fed up with the waste ground at the back of their houses. They approached the owners, Norwich City Council, who've now leased it to them for £1 a year and they're planning to turn it into a community garden.
