Sunday afternoons final between Alex Marshall and Paul Foster. Paul took the first set and then went on to win the £40,000 purse as well as the huge crystal trophy. His little boy was so excited as he ran across the rink to his daddy that he fell and burst into tears which raised a huge "Awwww" from the crowd. Not the most thrilling of finals but another successful event for Potters at Hopton.
Pictures in order. 1. New CEO of World Bowls and Tournament Director Richard Maddison. 2. Brett Arkley who borrowed a set of bowls from Greg Harlow and beat Mervyn King. Then in the quarter finals he was drawn against Greg! 3. TV crew with the finalists. 4. Paul raises up the trophy. 5. Joined by the family. 6. Once more for the crowd.
