Bing bong - it's the Avon lady calling, Brenda Bishop of Sprowston who's been going door to door for fifty years and is about to hang up her - um - Catalogue. NO - says she at the suggestion. It's much more than JUST a catalogue! Her regulars (some of which have been with her for half a century) have been showing their appreciation whilst Brenda thanks husband Geoff for seeing her through this last winter.

They're both pleased about the news but it's a massive project and once it gets started will see the whole site transformed in stages. Let's just get past the planning post first!
Thursday at Attleborough where Rix Petroleum have relocated to West Carr Lane. Director Rory Beath showed me over the three tanks with a capacity to hold 300,000 litres of fuel. It's a distribution point for commercial diesel and heating oil. Previously they had no storage and all their supplies had to be tankered from places like Ipswich. At least this should keep their own fuel bills down now although we're seeing almost daily rises at the pumps!
Bennetts electrical store calls in the receivers but we won't know what's happening until later this morning. At the Hewitt school there's a technology tournament with teams from around Norfolk competing. This is the fifth year that the Hewitt has hosted the event organised by the Rotary Club.
