Meeting up with our son and his wife at Market Harborough is midway between our homes so it's just over a two hour drive for each of us to reach this destination. Here's a few of the scenes. Left, the Buttercross in the middle of the town. Under its eaves were charity stalls during the day replaced by an open barbie late afternoon. Next to it is the church with its distinctive spire. Just opposite, we stayed at the Three Swans. Deceptively large from the front left hand side the archway leads through to a large open courtyard, restaurants and a baquetting hall together with two further blocks of accommodation. Right, just up the road the Union Quay basin with narrow boat moorings, some exclusive dwellings and a lovely restaurant. A great weekend which was long overdue!
