As a Patron of the Charity can I ask you to put this date in your diary - Bank Holiday Sunday 24th August 2008 - the date that over eighty of the East Coast Truckers will be taking those special youngsters for a fabulous day out under Police escort. If you've never whitnessed this spectacle you MUST this year. Leaving County Hall at 10am - A47 - A12 to Pleasurewood Hills then the big procession along Marine Parade Great Yarmouth from 6pm before taking the A47 back to Norwich.
If you can find a spot anywhere on the route going out or inbound please do so and give the kids a wave. They'll love you for it. This is the biggest single convoy in the country and probably in Europe. If you can help with a donation all the better. These truckers work voluntarily all year round and not just to raise funds. They also provide for children with trips to the panto, circus and so much more. Consider becoming a friend of the Charity - it costs just £10 a year.
